Futureclothes

One of the things I'm trying to focus on while I develop more details for R65 (still behind the scenes, I know, I'm so slow), is what apparel in the 3200s might be like. To do this, I'm looking towards contemporary indie designers. Click through to learn about some future-y clothing you can have today.

Every now and then I see some clothes that, to me, seem futuristic. I'm not talking about silver jumpsuits either. For R65, I've always had in mind a sort of material-conscious causal nature for most of the clothing people wear. The world is hyper-local. Imports and exports barely exist, so everything that people wear, eat and use is homegrown or refurbished.

Anyhow, without getting too much into the world-building, I've been trolling certain places to find cool fashion to emulate. One place that has a wealth of cool ideas is Etsy, a site dedicated to handmade and vintage art and design.

Thanks to plenty of e's posts on theSCOOP I've come across some beautiful and interesting fashion. Here are some that I really think speak to far-future design in the world of Resolution.65

I really like the provincial elements of malam's work coupled with the vintage textiles. When I was thinking of things to sketch today, I took a cue from that last image...

Just for fun.

These are pretty cool, Josh. I think it's easy to cop out on future clothes, and I know you're not the type to do that.
