An Enemy's Friend, All For Free

I know, I still haven't been able to sit down and watch the finale of AMC's The Prisoner! It's driving me crazy, but I just don't have the time at the moment. In the meantime, the entire Des Sovere album, An Enemy's Friend, is now downloadable right here.

If you don't know about Des Sovere, it was a project that I spearheaded that was a collaborative album. People who were interested in participating were given foundation tracks to alter, add to, or work from. The result was an extremely diverse selection of songs.

We released it with limited edition artwork back in... 2006? Was it really that long ago? Recently I've been giving the album away to people who are interested in hearing it, so I thought I should update the website to reflect that fact.

So, go ahead and download any and all of the songs, and listen to your heart's content.

You know what? This is a good album. A little rough around the edges, but it's well worth a listen or two. The chorus to "Equal Parts" is one of your best, Josh. In fact, your vocals overall here are great. And "The Killer Whale's Lament" is not only one of your best songs, but the production is deftly composed. The wiggly piano, the clattering and whistles, all perfectly enhance the song's mood. Anyway, that's just the tip of the iceberg. This album is bursting with little treasures too few have unearthed.

And I'm not just saying that 'cause I'm on it. :)
