Doooodes. We're Stoned.

We left off last time with most of the stone patio installed. Come in and see how it finished up and how some of the other surfaces were finished off.

I love it when a plan comes together...

It has been a little while since we last talked, hasn’t it? I have been sorting all the photos from this past summer, trying to make sure they all tell the story. AND IT IS A STORY, my friends. As you can see, Tara and I put our design skills to the test as we architected out a plan for the back yard.

Glue.Gun.

We have a balcony. We've stood on the balcony. Now we need to keep people (us) from falling off the balcony. Time for some good old fashioned craft.

Power Tools + 2 = Balcony

So, how many tools can you count in the picture? Don't forget the two idiots working there.

Waterproof...a new HEAP luxury

Last time we reported about starting the "patio" as the summer project. In true HEAP form, the first step of that was to tear off the rotted balcony on the second floor. Well, we did that. And, we managed to put some stuff back.

Patio = Stucco demolition? WTF!

We usually wait to post about our home improvement project until it’s completely done (we’re all about the drastic Before and After pics over here.) But this one might take a while, so we’ll keep you posted as we go along. Our major project for this summer is replacing and upgrading our patio.

A HEAP by any other name...

Welcome to the first installment of This Old Heap on Sidedown’s latest iteration. I hope to make posts as regular as possible. First things first, the fireplace described here does not live at the HEAP. It lives in a townhome of a client of mine. Sometimes, you have to go outside the home to spice up a relationship…or so I have been told…or seen on TV.
